Judges Pick - Best Grilled Cheese Top Prize of $1000.00 and bragging rights.

We are lucky to have great volunteer judges.  Each judge will be tasting and scoring each sandwich without knowing who's Grilled Cheese they are trying until the end.  At the end of the day, the highest score wins. 

Winners will be announced on stage.

Ryan Hinkson

One of Canada's top 10 Food Instagramer's with over 260 Thousand followers! Ryan has been featured on Blog TO and other publications, as well as doing guest appearances on Breakfast Television & was a guest judge on the tv show Menu Match-Up. Ryan has also lead hungry tourists through Europe on food tours.  We are thrilled to have him on as a Judge!

Jeff Gillon

Jeff is a self-proclaimed grilled cheese connoisseur who won the hearts of  the judges. The Toronto food blogger native has been spotted on numerous occasions with Ryan and the @eatfamous team. He is looking forward to coming back as a Judge at this years festival.

Toronto Rocks - Dan Craig

 The 25-year old native of Shelburne, ON just completed his second season of professional lacrosse with the 6-time NLL champion Toronto Rock.  Dan has established himself as an offensive force to be reckoned with on the lacrosse floor.  During the 2018-19 season, he set career highs across the board with 20 goals, 28 assists and 48 points and appeared in all 18 regular season games for the Rock.  Prior to playing professionally, Dan played NCAA field lacrosse at Penn State University and played Junior A lacrosse for the Barrie Lakeshores and Orangeville Northmen.

Bob Summers

Bob spent years in radio and television including 30 as a radio and TV traffic reporter. He has also done a little amateur acting and, in his youth, was a partner in a company that created very large birthday cookies. You may also see him acting as M.C. (and playing his kazoo) with the Etobicoke Community Concert Band. He’s been a resident of Mimico for over 25 years, loves the community and is here partly to test his lactose intolerance. 


Duane Browne

We met Duanne in 2017 when he won a Guest Judge Spot since then, he as been a dedicated volunteer and The Grilled Cheese Challenge Judge Coordinator.  He will ensure a fair challenge and acts a 6th vote in a tie breaker situation.  His community dedication and love of Grilled Cheese is greatly appreciated.
